Converse unveiled its DEFCON and Pro Leather 2K11 performance basketball shoes at an exclusive launch party at Cedar Lake Studios in New York City on November 3. Emceed by prominent New York DJ and sneaker historian, Bobbito Garcia, the event hosted a guest list of select media and celebrities including actor Maximillan Tapper, models Mey Bun and Drew Vision, Dee and Ricky Jackson, Coltrane Curtis, basketball player Corey “Homicide” Williams, and Nick Yates from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Guests were given a formal presentation of the shoe by the Converse design team alongside Team Converse athletes Chris Anderson of the Denver Nuggets, Kyle Korver of the Chicago Bulls, and Lou Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers.
