For a city of increasing importance on the global scale, Shanghai will welcome an all-new retail venture later this as Aegis Shanghai readies itself for a late August launch. The creatives behind the retailer, Deager Kao and Winston Chow are hoping to contribute an exclusive line of labels beyond the typical fare offered by established big chain retailers that dominate China’s retail landscape. The store will welcome a mix of Western labels including 3sixteen, Naked & Famous, Rag & Bone, Company of We, Opening Ceremony, Band of Outsiders, Shipley & Halmos, Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen, Wings + Horns and Wrath Arcane. For footwear and accessories, they will include sneaker favorites from adidas, Nike, Common Projects, Generic Man/Surplus and Quoddy. A tentative opening date has been set for August 21st, 2010.
