Converse Japan Jack Purcells

December 26, 2009Uncategorizedby Staff11 Views

Brand new from Converse Japan are these Jack Purcells. Paradoxically capturing both a more formal and a casual aesthetic the shoes appear to be a refined, more sophisticated version of the iconic chuck taylor boot. Stand out features include the stretchy-rubber on the sides of the shoe, allowing for ease of movement, as well as the prominent heel tab and cylindrical laces to match the boot. The shoes will drop at around $90 and will be available imminently in either black or white.

Chaps, it’s a Jack Purcell High – the “horizontal black stripe” is the iconic Smile from Purcell’s signature shoe.

The Chelsea-Boot-esque elastic panel on the ankle definitely seems like a new design feature though.
