One of the most popular jewelers in this business, Gabriel Urist has come together with Japanese b-boy Big-O from the group Phenomenon. Big-O is also part of the Swagger design team. This Gabriel Urist x Phenomenon pendant will be available either in sterling silver or gold-plated and created in limited quantities. The pose struck by the b-boy is a throwback to the glory years of the 80’s, with the iconic beat box and high tops, however the inclusion of a New Era fitted creates a more modern look. This will be available at the Swagger flagship shop before the end of April.
Japanese brands Tenderloin and Mastermind have collaborated together on this upcoming tee-shirt for the magazine Fashion Heart. The Tenderloin tee will retail for 7850 Yen (~$65 USD) while the Mastermind will cost 15 000 yen (~$125 USD). It appears as though further collaborations are expected in the future as well which may include Hysteric Glamour and Skull. Stay tuned for more info for the releases in subsequent months.

The Lordz are a musical representation of graf artist Mr. Kaves and his brother, DJ ADM. Together they recently released their newest album, “The Brooklyn Way” in conjunction with Perfect Game Recording Co. (affiliate of Warner Bros.). This punk rock/hip hop album is a reflection The Lordz upbringing in Brooklyn. The track, “New York Groove” from their album has already become the official go to song for two of New York’s storied professional sports franchises in the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers. The start of the MLB will see the Mets adopt the anthem as well.
To commemorate the release of “The Brooklyn Way”, DJ Lordz have commisoned five of the world’s greatest graffiti artists in Futura, Stash, Haze, Lee Quinones, and Mr. Kaves himself to create a series of tee-shirts. The tee’s will be limited to 250 pieces and will only be available through The Lordz website, Recon/Nort and other select retailers.

The release of Transformers the movie is still over 2 months away, however the anticipated release can derive some ease with the pre-releases of various licensed memorabilia. Nike have gone and used the silhouette of the Nike Free 7.0 and done quite the mash up with Megatron and Convoy to create a pair of transforming sneakers. The execution is turned out quite well and would satisfy both Nike/Shoe and Transformer collectors out there. They have been released in Japan and will retail for 2,625 Yen.
The collaborations between Nike and the Transformers doesn’t stop there, awhile back we posted pictures of a Transformers x Nike Air Trainer III.
