Takahashi has had a banner year by all measures in 2015, which marked the 25th year in operation of his successful streetwear brand UNDERCOVER. Alongside a host of events marking this anniversary -- including a major retrospective at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery and a monograph published by Rizzoli -- Takahashi continued to plow ahead with collaborations with the likes of Supreme, Uniqlo, and Medicom Toy, as well as the co-branded GYAKUSOU running collection with Nike, which is now in its fifth year. Takahashi also developed his label towards a more experimental avenue with the opening of new concept boutique MADSTORE in Tokyo in April. Expect to see much more from the Japanese streetwear pioneer as we enter the new year.
