With the consolidation of Nike’s Tech Pack into Nike Sportswear, early fans of the Tech Pack (us included) were still able enjoy a great range that featured technicality and performance with great aesthetics, well into Nike Sportswear’s recent re-launch. Although some many have had trouble choosing Nike’s Tech Pack offerings over established technical brands, Nike has made another strong case with these two highly technical jackets. Made with that same seamless bonding technology we saw debuted last year, the technology returns on these well-engineered jackets. Set to release later this year as part of Nike Sportswear’s 2008 fall collection.

Nike Sportswear Collection Debut

Nike introduced the much anticipated Nike Sportswear line recently in Beijing, China, with an exhibition that included eight iconic products including the Air Force 1, the Windrunner, AW 77 Hoody, the Nike Dunk, Air Max 90, Eugene Track Jacket, the Cortez, and NSW Tee. The exhibition also included installations by highly celebrated artist, Robert Wilson, and producer, Noah Khoshbin. Nike Sportswear is a line that aims to combine the best of Nike’s heritage with today’s technology and innovations. The focal point of its design is the body as Nike believes that “if you have a body, you’re an athlete.” For its 2008 F/W Collection, it has a variety of pieces including varsity belts, caps, and jackets, Nike Zoom Tennis Classic, Nike Star Classic, Terminator High, Storm-Fit Sports Man Coat, and a number of tees. The Nike Zoom Tennis Classic is a collaboration project with Fragment Design, a brand started by streetwear godfather, Hiroshi Fujiwara. In all the pieces, you can definitely see the remix of classic materials with a modern twist. Nike is definitely taking the idea of sportswear to another level as it continually shocks and surprises us with endless innovations. Source: Honeyee
