The colorful exploits of the annual/bi-annual mita sneakers, realmad HECTIC and New Balance MT580 collaboration have continued deep into their 12th release. With each release, a multi-color product is more then expected with this upcoming feature all but fulfilling the unofficial theme. Once a regional exclusive to Japan and the focus of numerous collaborations between Stussy and mad hectic, the fabled trail running MT580 recently saw its first action in the world spotlight with more general releases. A preview of the 2009 collection of clunky midsoled runner features some picture perfect colorways which offer a great compromise with the often colorful offerings most MT580 fans are subjected to with the Stussy x mad hectic collabos. New Balance MT580 International Launch

New Balance recently had their international launch of their MT580 model in Taipei. On display at the exhibition were the complete collection of the Mita Sneakers MT580 as well as four never seen before MT580’s. According to Kenlu, the black and white MT580’s are slated to be released in November while the Brown colorway (inspired by LV luggage case) and the Red colorway (inspired by Victorinox) will be releasing in September.

This Saturday will be the release of the Stussy x Hectic x UNDFTD x New Balance “Triple Threat” MT580 Synthetic Pack. Three colorful MT580’s will be released each representing a collaboration with either Stussy, Hectic or UNDFTD. These clunky sneakers won’t match with your jeans but they will be perfect for the summer when you have your shorts on. Available at Undefeated Japan on April 26th.

Mita Sneakers have been collaborating with realmadHECTIC since 1999 to bring us the classic 90’s sneaker New Balance MT580; fast forward to 2008 and they are about to release their 11th series. In the spirit of this, the new additions to this series will be 2 new fusion colorways, fusing together past releases. The MTH comes in an earthy tone colorway, which a fusion of the 2nd Editions released in 2001. The GBH sports a pastel themed colorway, a fusion of the 3rd Editions which also released in 2001. These will definitely be popular amongst the fans of the collection. Be sure to check them out when they are available on May 3rd.
