Last week, we touched upon the PAS DA Collection, a special eco-minded initiative from Etnies founder Piere Andre Senizergues (PAS) to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the brand. This white/grey colorway of the Senix MV represents the most ecologically friendly of the 6-shoe collection. Composed almost entirely of recycled materials, the upper is constructed of hemp-based canvas with a bamboo lining and sockliner. To top it off, the print is water-based, the outsole is made from recycled rubber and padding derived from old carpet-foam. The only place with availability is Southern California’s Blends.
For Jason Dill’s Fucking Awesome label, the brand offers an edgy authentic approach reflective of Jason’s unique personality and philosophy. The long-time Etnies rider came together with the skate brand’s sub-label Etnies Plus to create a special Fucking Awesome x Etnies Plus design. The black upper with gum sole is an infallible equation in our opinion, with the not so subtle branding starting at the middle of the upper and wrapping around the heel in classic FA fashion. A few days ago we ran some news on an upcoming In4mation x Etnies Sal 23 collabo which is in the works. In4mation has dropped some more news and a little piece reflecting on the effect had with the original release of the Sal 23 back in the 90s. Look for the Sal 23 In4mation and Sal Jersey to release in June of this year.
This year marks Etnies’ 21st Anniversary. Etnies CEO Piere Andre Senizergues (PAS) decided to celebrate Etnies’ coming of age with the Drinking Age (DA) Collection. The personally designed collection includes six versions of the iconic Senix model. Each have been reinterpreted with changes that reflect beliefs and concerns of the influential skate brand. Only 21 pairs are available for each of the six designs, with a small run of 10 available for sale through Southern California’s Blends.
Each pair was engineered under strict environmental regulations which include recycled plastic laces/boxes, biodegradable tissue paper as well as the omission of various harmful practices utilized in the original Senix design. One of the six models part of the collection is the Senix MV, inspired by PAS’ first skateboard and “Foxing Tape” used.

To a large demographic of skates in the mid 90s, the SLB from Etnies went down in the books of many as one of the great skate shoes of its time. Fast forward to the end of this year, In4mation has a collabo cooked up for two colorways of the SLB in black and red. Stay tuned for more details.
