DC Shoes x Subtext - Kicks Exhibition

DC Shoes in association with Subtext will present a special exhibition titled Kicks late next month. The event will include a series of customized sneakers from an extensive artist list enabling the artists to capture their creativity via various DC sneakers. The artists include Ronald Kurniawan, Angry Woebots, Ekundayo, Miles Donovan, Julie West, KMNDZ, Joshua Clay, David Foldvari, Josh Kenyon, Colby Nichols, Jasper Wong, Marco Zamora, James Jirat Patradoon, Corey Smith, Josh Taylor, Sandra Equihua, and Cole Gerst. The sneaker pictured above was customized by Angry Woebots. The opening reception is slated for January 25th and will run until February 17th at Subtext. Famous local skate institution in Amsterdam’s skate shop Ben G has each established themselves as apopular shopping destination which resulted in a collaboration with footwear brand DC Shoes. Trust Nobody x DC Shoes TN Manteca

Trust Nobody is one of the most influential and well known streetwear store in Spain. Located in Barcelona, they carry an array of goods including sneakers, clothes, toys and accessories. Now, skate footwear company DC Shoes has collaborated with the famous store on this TN Manteca. This sneaker which is inspired by the 90’s cartoon series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, features a turtle shell pattern on the toe cap as well as the collar of the shoe. DC Shoes, often known for the skate footwear, will be releasing some new skate inspired shoes for ‘08 including this DC Monterey SE. This Monterey SE features technical aspects such as the use of the airbag sole. The orange on black speckle midsole really brings out the colors on this shoe. SSUR x DC Shoes

The latest Artist Project from DC Shoes incorporates New York artist SSUR as the pivot behind this project. A complete collection of products will include sneakers alongside a hat, fleece jacket and denim. The main focus of the products is the Russian background of SSUR intermingle with thoughts of the Big apple. These references include color schemes and designs based off traditional Russian China while the New York element comes via the use of the trademark Coney Island ferris wheel on the sole. JB Classics x DC Shoes

JB Classics x DC Shoes

As part of skate label DC Shoes’ ongoing Double Label project, they have created an interesting product by enlisting the help of a fellow sneaker brand in JB Classics to design a special package of shoes and products. The finished product utilized the imagery from tree rings to symbolize the project. Custom laser etching can be seen as a tribute to the growth rings of trees. The soles also include a growth ring tread. The accompanying t-shirts and New Eras will be based off the same theme.
