Founder of L’art de l’automobile
Arthur Kar’s L’art de l’automobile label successfully made the leap from passion project to fully-realized streetwear brand in 2018. The luxury car aficionado hosted a series of events to show off both his fine automobiles and new wearables, including January’s “Crash Test” exhibition, the summer’s KAR AUDIO SYSTEMS event and “KAR WASH,” co-hosted by HYPEBEAST. Beyond the you-had-to-be-there parties, L’art de l’automobile delivered a selection of motorsport-inspired clothing, including T-shirts emblazoned with Cadillac Allantes, Lamborghini Diablos and even the Alpine 7800 car radio. Plenty of well-heeled attendees and fans come out to Kar’s shindigs, including Virgil Abloh, Luka Sabbat, Heron Preston and Bella Hadid to name a few.
