Cav Empt’s frontman duo of Sk8thing and Toby Feltwell, while notoriously enigmatic, have helmed one of Japan’s most revered streetwear imprints. While rather assertive in its design language, the pair ironically enough stay shrouded in mystery while managing to somehow evade the public eye. Having previously collaborated under the BBC umbrella, both Sk8thing and Toby felt it only right to keep the chemistry intact quickly following the sale of Billionaire Boys Club. With Sk8thing’s loud, punchy graphics coupled with Feltwell’s directorial concepts, C.E in 2016 has maintained its zeitgeist-capturing hold on fashion’s streetwear arena. Boasting an eclectic mix of garish prints and teasing silhouettes, Cav Empt have been subject to countless retailer and magazine editorials with such names as Garbstore, Notre and ibought making the list, not to mention designing an exclusive drop for BEAUTY & YOUTH.
