A closer look at the 20th anniversary nod to ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…’
With the celebratory 20th anniversary release right around the corner, Packer Shoes has further highlighted its upcoming Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…-inspired “Purple Tape” collection with Raekwon by way of a brand new lookbook starring The Chef himself. Due out later this week, the “Purple Tape” range represents “the cross-pollination of hip-hop into fashion and heritage footwear” and includes a premium take on Diadora’s N.9000, two black and purple versions of the New York Yankees New Era 59FIFTY, a tee, and an Italian-made track jacket.
Look for the “Purple Tape” collection to launch this Thursday, August 20 at SOBs in New York City from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT. The first 95 customers (who are 21 and older) to purchase the “Purple Tape” N.9000 will receive free tickets to that night’s Raekwon show at the venue — the final stop on the rapper’s 20th anniversary tour. Individual tickets for the show are still available online.
