Twitter's New "Buy" Button

On Monday, Twitter announced it was going to test its new “Buy” button, which allows users to make purchases from a Twitter page without having to leave the social network. The entire checkout process can be completed on the site, and Twitter will even store payment information so it doesn’t have to be reentered for every purchase. The buy button will only be available to a small percentage of U.S. mobile app users for the time being, but the company plans to expand the program to more mobile users and eventually its desktop users. Payment company Stripe will power the transactions, but it isn’t clear whether Twitter itself will be taking a cut of the purchases themselves. Check out the video to see how this new feature works.
