Beyoncé – 7/11

In preparation for the platinum edition of Beyoncé‘s self-titled album, due for next week, the pop queen drops a video for “7/11” — one of the two new tracks we hit you up with earlier this week. Song-wise, you might’ve already noticed that the track sounds something like a street anthem straight out of Chiraq or new Atlanta. The video, however, is even further off in relativity to Bey’s previous releases. While we may be expecting the usual glitz, glamor and high-budget production, she surprises us with something that looks rather homemade. With the dancing, twerking, university hoodies and beer-cup-sipping, it’s kind of got the look of a B-side behind-the-scenes outtake of a sorority party. With that said, it does match with the song well. Watch above and let us know how you feel about it.
