After seeing a beautiful lake in an old photograph, Russian wakeboarder Nikita Martyanov went on an epic journey to find the body of water to set up the ultimate eco-freindly park and, thus, a dream riding locale. Martyanov ultimately found the spot, which happened to be Kazakhstan’s Lake Kayindy – a lake created in 1911 thanks to an enormous limestone landslide triggered by that year’s Kebin earthquake and a spot known for the skinny tree trunks that rise out of the depths of the water. Check it out above as Martyanov rides the lake for the first time.
