Undoubtedly amongst some of the company’s most iconic designs is Braun‘s ET66 Calculator. Originally released in 1987 and collaboratively designed by Dietrich Lubs and Dieter Rams, the piece is considered to be at the pinnacle of the “less but better” philosophy thanks to a design that includes a simple rectangular shape and convex circular buttons. The minimalist ET66 even served as the basis for the iPhone original calculator app. Now, the design is set to be reissued in 2013, as unveiled by Braun at this year’s Baselworld. Expect this faithful re-release of the Braun ET66 version 2 – the streamlined successor to the original ET22 model – to be available in the months ahead.
