Street artist Banksy just released a video of his one-off art sale in Central Park during his recent New York exploits. The anonymous public art icon hired the older man in the video to sell his art for the day at a cost of $60 per canvas, each of them authentic and signed by the artist himself. Unfortunately, few of the park-going visitors put two and two together and consequently sales were a bit slow with his first sale coming several hours after opening and only after the lady who bought them for her kids negotiated a 50% discount. The total takings for the random art sale came in at a meager $420 USD, but those who took the plunge are in for a pleasant surprise.
