With each passing year and the advent of the smartphone, we’ve seen little need to separate our problem-solving through various electronics. Yet iconic design often earns the title of being timeless for a specific reason. Unlike HP’s foray into tablets, its 30-year-old calculator the 12c seems to be doing just fine with a recent retro. The business/financial calculator was introduced in 1981 to the tune of a $150 USD price tag and became one of the most storied calculators among number pushers (if there ever was such a thing).
