The Paris and Tokyo-based designer exhibited master knowledge in men’s, women’s and unisex fashion this year. After delivering an all-black range of layered, deconstructed silhouettes and jewel-toned velvet suits for Fall/Winter 2015 Yamamoto ventured into jewelry, accessories and optical eyewear lines. His Spring/Summer 2016 presentation was injected with bold prints and colors across fitted, tailored suits. While he partnered with adidas Originals for a “Metallic” Superstar pack, the Japanese designer’s prestigious Y-3 line was collaborating with the German sportswear manufacturer for two luxurious renditions of the Country Zip sneaker. After a strong year, we’re looking forward to Yamamoto-san’s projects due for 2016, which includes an upcoming line with Hello Kitty parent company Sanrio.
