Zola Jesus & Dean Hurley Rework John Carpenter's "Night"
The master of horror receives the remix treatment.
Zola Jesus and Dean Hurley have served up a rework of John Carpenter‘s “Night.” Originally released as part of the famed composer’s debut studio album, Lost Themes, “Night” has been remixed for a contribution to a forthcoming remix project based on the original LP. Entitled Lost Themes Remixed, the album will feature flips of Lost Themes cuts produced by artists and acts such as Silent Servant, Dominick Fernow, Skinny Puppy and more. Speaking on her contribution to the release, Zola Jesus called it an “opportunity” that was “beyond surreal and humbling.” Dean Hurley added, “John Carpenter is an absolute master of mood and has such an eloquent and powerful ‘less is more’ quality to his music.” You can listen to Zola Jesus and Dean Hurley’s take on “Night” above.
