Kamea Hadar and Defer Paint “Paradise Lost” Mural in San Francisco

Paradise Lost is a newly-formed art duo consisting of POW! WOW! Co-Lead Director Kamea Hadar and seminal graffiti artist Defer. Continuing their evocative motifs that blend portrait painting with abstract scripts and lettering, the two recently took their endeavors to San Francisco where they exhibited at the 1st Amendment Gallery, whilst also painting a few murals. One particular standout piece titled “Hawaii 13″ saw the artists enlist lush hues of red, yellow and gold offset by a somber black backdrop. Filled with high energy and intricate line-work , the murals are upheld by ancient Hawaiian mythology alongside a raw, West Coast street sensibility. Check out a glimpse of the murals here and stay tuned for more projects from the “Paradise Lost” series.
