Visionaire co-founders Cecilia Dean and James Kaliardos worked with legendary conceptual artist John Baldessari for Visionaire 64 ART. The project was created in partnership with Samsung Electronics to bring together modern digital technology with old-world craftsmanship of printmaking. The concept behind the issue is a series of celebrity self-portraits (aka “selfies“) printed in black and white on high-quality archival paper then transformed into art with Baldessari’s color interventions over the faces. Visionaire invited a group of celebrities to submit selfies, including Drake, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Miley Cyrus, Marina Abramovic, Karlie Kloss, G-Dragon, Kate Upton and many more. The issue is divided into three editions of Red, Green and Blue, each with 10 different artworks and is sold separately in a limited quantity of 500 copies. All three editions of the Visionaire No.64 Art Books are available now from Visionaire for $325 USD.
