Omega has announced an update of its iconic 1969 Speedmaster Mark II for 2014. Set to make its real world debut this year Baselworld 2014, this update sticks to the original’s classic styling, particularly the tonneau case, which has been left unchanged. Most of the changes are on the inside, where Omega has swapped the venerable calibre 861 movement for a co-axial calibre 3330 automatic movement with column-wheel chronograph mechanism. No word on size or pricing, but we do know that the Speedmaster Mark II will be available with two dial options. Expect the watch to be available at Omega boutiques following Baselworld 2014.
