Established in 2004 by Simon Mottram, British cycling brand Rapha has set itself apart from the technical garb offered by traditional biking brands in part due to a unique retro-inspired aesthetic typically reserved for non-sporting menswear. Now almost a decade old, the label has teamed up with designer Christopher Raeburn to craft a seasonal windbreaker for the summer months ahead – a collaborative endeavor that sees Raeburn working alongside his brother Graeme, Rapha’s lead product designer. The result is a hybrid piece adapted from Rapha’s Spring/Summer 2012 campaign, now crafted in England and constructed with surplus military parachute fabric as a nod to Raeburn’s military-infused designs. Donning an oversized reflective dot pattern along the sleeves, the tailored piece is individually cut and numbered and features additional reflective details throughout. Teased here, the Christopher Raeburn x Rapha Wind Jacket will soon be available in limited quantities in a trio of colorways.
