Last month was suppose to see the premiere of Ol’ Dirty Bastard‘s documentary Dirty: Platinum Edition, but due to a last minute cease and desist order by ODB’s estate, the showing was cancelled. It now seems that the legal side of things are now taken care of according to AllHipHop.com, as the NuHo Film Festival (the New Hollywood Film Festival), who orchestrated the premiere, have issued the following statement:
The NuHo Film Festival apologizes to all the individuals who attended the November 15th red carpet screening, to our media partner AllHipHop.com who was not expecting the event to turn out the way it did, to the press that attended, but most importantly to all Wu-Tang and ODB fans who were expecting to enjoy the film on November 15th at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
With a legal agreement between the ODB Estate and the team behind the documentary, fans of the deceased Wu-Tang emcee can now enjoy the full film, for a small payment by heading over to the NuHo Film Festival site. Down below you can check out the film’s trailer.
