Led by the design expertise of Tokujin Yoshioka, the Pleats Please Issey Miyake/Aoyama’ store finally re-opened this past Tuesday, September 1st in Aoyama, Tokyo. The concept was said to “conserve the existing space with recycled aluminum in order to have it transcend the time” said Yoshioka. Centered on a large backlit wall, the end result is very clean and minimal, yet captivating. More pictures below.
