This season Acapulco Gold has taken a look at both sides of the financial times, from the ivory towers of the Ivy League all the way down to the NY housing projects and everything in between. The latest release includes a series of housing project tees emblazoned with the nicknames for the actual housing projects, while matching New Era hats feature the real housing names. For example, the 41st Side Houses is the nickname for the Queensbridge Houses in Queens, NY. The word ‘Aurum’ on another New Era hat is Latin for GOLD, tying in the higher education practice of using Latin along with English. On the hard goods program, AG presents a series of decks with the $1, $5 and $100 bill faces enlarged, while a 4th deck features the back of the US $1 dollar with and B and R added to the ONE. The 2008 Fall/Winter collection is rounded out by a selection of camo and wool plaid 5-panel camp caps, as well as a New Era in cohorts with American denim manufacturer Post O’ Alls. Available now at Acapulco Gold retailers worldwide.
