Dropping at adidas Originals store later this month, will be a set of Hip-Hop inspired sneakers from the three striped brand. Consisting of shoes and matching apparel, the lineup is influenced by the four main elements of Hip-Hop, being MC’s, b-boy’s, graffiti artists and DJ’s. With various specifics and models behind each design the inspiration can be seen throughout on one of the Decade Hi’s, showcasing an upper with a cardboard silhouette reminiscent of break dancer mats. We get a sneak peek at the b-boy collection after the jump.

When I look at these shoes, the first thing I think about is clearly hip-hop. I mean, if anyone thinks of anything different in regards to these totally awesome shoes, then they need to get their heads out of the ground. These shoes are lame.

Graffiti is a HUGE part of hip-hop.. just like Rap is “a part” of hip-hop.. it takes influences from every aspect of life and twists it to become its own element.. If you didnt know that then you REALLY dont know graffiti..LEARN YOUR HISTORY..RESPECT YOUR ART!!

Since the music is just one component of the culture, the fact that you might know a handful of graffiti artists that may not appreciate the sound of the culture

The fact that you might know a handful of graffiti artists that may not appreciate the sound of the culture, which in itself is absurd, make no mistake about it if you and your confused group of retarded friends have used graffiti to express yourselves artistically, like it or not you have partaken in one of the four elements of the Hip-Hop culture!

this is now the 2nd time in so many years i’ve heard a graff artist say graff isn’t hip-hop. Even though you are most definitely striving to distance yourself from a music genre u dont like do some research before you think u & ur friends started this gangsta shit! Look up Julio 204 & Taki 183. Understand where YOU & YOUR FRIENDS have been influenced! Now once you’ve read & understood somethign come back & talk educated & not out of ignorance.

graff is not hip hop - the early graff writers were bangin led zeppelin black sabbath - see dondi children of the grave production that was inspired by black sabbath. hype beast nerds dont understand this shit. then again if it wasnt for hip hop graff would not have spread worldwide and thats the truth.
