Common x Converse (Product) Red Weapon
For the upcoming Fall 2007, Converse has teamed up with Grammy winning artist and upcoming actor Common to be the new face in Converse’s fight against AIDS in Africa. Among the first sneakers to release will be the Converse (Product) Red Weapon ($75) and the Weapon Ox ($70) at various Foot Locker, Footaction and Champs Sports. Also slated to release are the “Combat Boot” Chuck Taylor All Star ($60), “Conscience REQUI(RED)” Chuck Taylor Ox w/ (RED) Words of Change ($47)and the “Conscience REQUI(RED)†Chuck Taylor Hi ($52). The “Combat Boot” Chuck Taylor will be available for customization at Converseone.com. Along the way other designers and celebrities will be given the opportunity to make their mark on the Converse (Product) Red, with 5%-15% of all sales going directly towards the fight against AIDS.
