為了定位本系列，Carhartt WIP 首先深入研究其過往設計，以了解核心輪廓和細節。舉例來說，連帽拉鍊外套、羽絨夾克、絎縫背心和棉褲永遠都會出現在單品循環中，因此品牌不斷以全新色調和微妙的細節變化來刷新它們的外觀。
