Netflix 取消 Will Smith 主演電影《Bright 光靈》續作企劃
奧斯卡獎暴走的效應仍未平息。
Will Smith 於奧斯卡獎的暴走事件有著相當廣泛的影響，除了美國影藝學院給予 10 年禁令的懲處之外，其自身也有合作對象因此卻步，包括其代表作《Bad Boys》第四部續作也暫時喊停。
而繼早先有消息指出 Netflix 擱置 Will Smith 新動作片《Fast and Loose》製作後，今回根據 Bloomberg 的 Lucas Shaw 透露，原定製作的《Bright 光靈》續集企劃也將放棄，不過指出此舉與巴掌事件無關，或許是本來的商業考量使然。
另一方面，National Geographic 和 Will Smith 合作的紀錄片《Pole to Pole》仍將維持上映，不過由於事件發生後，拍攝受到了延誤，因此將從原本春季改為秋季上映。而喜愛《Bright》的讀者，不妨也考慮前往 Netflix 觀賞動畫《Bright: Samurai Soul》。
