NBA 季後賽 2019 總冠軍賽第五戰前夕，Warriors 先是傳出 Kevin Durant 現身球場訓練，並在球團允許下確定出席第五戰。果不其然地，首節 Kevin Durant 即刻表現出殺神本色，三分球 3 投 3 中，單節拿下 11 分。而撇除自身表現，Kevin Durant 的在場影響力也幫助其他球員如 Stephen Curry 與 Klay Thompson 有更好的發揮，並讓球隊的攻勢流動與防守都有更佳的表現，Warriors 首節 34：28 領先。
