James Gunn 解釋《Avengers : Infinity War》末段 Groot 的最後一句話

如要選出一幕大家在《Avengers : Infinity War》電影中最感人的，不知道各位會選擇那一幕呢？是 Loki 被 Thanos 殺去？Gamora 被 Thanos 拋下崖？Spider-Man 和 Iron Man 說不想消失？還是 Groot 和 Rocket 說下最後一句說話？雖然電影中出現一幕很有趣的，是原來 Thor 精通宇宙語言，連 Groot 的樹話也能溝通。但相信大家卻未必會知道在一半宇宙正消失時，Rocket 抱着 Groot 時聽到的「I am Groot」是甚麼解釋。有關這句的解釋昨日便由《Guardians of the Galaxy》 導演 James Gunn 在 Twitter 上翻譯出來，原來 Groot 最後和 Rocket 說的，是「Dad」。

這便解釋到原來 Groot 視 Rocket 為他父親，完全改變了這兩個角色的定位，因為在《Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1》中，Groot 是負責保護 Rocket 的，但到了《Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2》，因為成年版的 Groot 已經死去，延伸出來的幼年版 Groot 便交由 Rocket 去撫養成人，隨着一直的監護照顧，Groot 亦慢慢將 Rocket 視為他父親，為他們所經歷的事情增添層次。

不過 James Gunn 解釋完後不久，他便再次在 Twitter 發帖文，表示知道這個答案或許會令到大家感動和難過，但想不到會聽到那麼多人告訴他因為這個解釋而傷感，並向大家表示抱歉，亦意味着原來大家和他一樣都喜歡這些角色。雖然大家在《Avengers : Infinity War》電影中只是略為看到 Rocket 對 Groot 的嚴厲，但相信最後的一幕是讓 Rocket 意識得到他和 Groot 的關係是這樣密不可分。
