Kojima Productions 創辦人小島秀夫近期於 X 平台上分享關於自身從事電玩領域的多年感觸,並感嘆說到:「不知道自身還能保持『創造』多久?」
現年 61 歲的小島秀夫近日先是分享了關於近期開發遊戲時所遇到的「crunch time」,解釋該過程便是對精神與體力的最大挑戰。爾後,便突然有感而發地思考自己還能從事電玩創作多久,擔心有那麼一天不再擁有足夠的創造力,並表示自己每天都在跟時間賽跑,不確定能否在撐個 10 年或 20 年。最後,他便以現年 87 歲的名導 Ridley Scott 作為範例,表示這位導演如今年事已高依舊活躍在業界,更在自身六旬之際拍出了史詩傑作《Gladiator》,藉此勉勵自己。
小島秀夫目前除了開發《死亡擱淺 Death Stranding》最新續作《Death Stranding 2 On The Beach》之外,還有在去年與 Sony 共同宣布的新一代原創動作諜報遊戲《PHYSINT》。
