Chris Pratt 透露《Guardians of the Galaxy 3》仍將採用 James Gunn 原定劇本

James Gunn 在因多年前的不雅言論曝光遭到 Disney 解雇後，雖然陸陸續續經過多方協商、說情，但仍無法讓 Disney 收回決定，最後 James Gunn 更是轉戰 DC，並確立接手《Suicide Squad》最新續集劇本與擔任導演一職。

而今回《Guardians of the Galaxy》系列中扮演 Star-Lord 的 Chris Pratt 也為影迷揭曉了《Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3》的最新情報，他指出全新續集的劇本將繼續沿用 James Gunn 製作的版本，並再一次強調他對  James Gunn 的喜愛和忠誠，且也提到團隊一直一來便致力於帶給影迷們所想要的電影。

先前於劇中扮演 Drax 的演員 Dave Bautista 也曾公開力挺 James Gunn，並表明若 Marvel 不沿用 James Gunn 為《Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3》製作的劇本，他將會退出該電影。除此之外，Chris Pratt 更補充道「對我來說，《Guardians of the Galaxy》是 James 的電影，新的導演在他安排好的各個情節中進入相似的狀況，就像是你闖進某人的家裡說：『嘿！我是你們的新爸爸，這就是我們現在如何製作花生醬三明治的方式。』這感覺有些尷尬。」
