Futura was all hustle this year. The renowned artist hit the ground running early in 2020 with collaborations alongside Levi’s for a denim capsule and GORE-TEX for a technical footwear drop. In February, the acclaimed creative got together with the godfather of streetwear, NIGO for a Futura Laboratories x NIGOLD partnership. Under the Co: Labs initiative, the collaborative capsule consisted of an MA-1 bomber jacket, hoodie, backpack and more.

The 65-year-old designer’s work got bigger and bolder throughout the year as well — BMW tapped Futura for a special edition M2 Art Car, Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ commissioned him for a graphic-heavy capsule and the Eric Firestone Gallery hosted the artist’s first New York City exhibition in over 30 years. The Off-White™ x Futura Laboratories Nike Dunk Low is in the works as well as seen by multiple teasers on social media.
