Back in February we all heard the news that 15 years after launching her womenswear label, British fashion royalty Stella McCartney was set to drop her first menswear collection, which debuted in November this year. Inspired by the UK’s varied music subcultures from Britpop to punk, the line includes tailoring, sweaters, and accessories and serves as further evidence of McCartney’s significant talent. As well as her men’s line, this year also saw McCartney design the Team GB Olympics outfits for the opening ceremony in Rio – which included a navy blue pea coat with military-style detailing – while she put out a series of sleek sneaker collaborations with adidas including a blue and white Ultra Boost colorway for women. Expect plenty more to follow into 2017.
