Imran Amed is the founder of Business of Fashion (BoF), an online and sometimes print publication detailing all of fashion’s global business and industry news. Founded in 2007, the site has become an important resource for all those in the industry and those interested in fashion. This year, Amed expanded the site’s education vertical, offering online courses in fashion and related fields. Courses include fashion history, buying, merchandising and more. Additionally, BoF publishes an annual list of the world’s top fashion schools, a top resource for the fashion industry and those interested in breaking in. The site also revamped its offerings, launching BoF Professional, a subscription program for readers who will pay a sum for unlimited access to articles on the site. This was a major change from the once free platform. BoF’s print issues also saw the likes of Kate Moss, Jonathan Anderson and Demna Gvasalia on the cover.
