Demna Gvasalia’s name has gone from unpronounceable to ubiquitous in the span of just one short year. Riding high off of the momentum of a monumental 2015, Gvasalia’s Vetements brand proved it was far from a one-hit wonder, stunning critics and consumers alike with a 2017 spring/summer collection that featured collaborations with 18 different brands. While he may not buy his own $800 USD DHL shirts, customers have clamored for the disruptive design collective’s tongue-in-cheek takes on haute couture from the United States to Korea.

Gvasalia’s debut Balenciaga collection, meanwhile, has proved a favorite with critics and celebs alike, with cosigns coming from celebrities like Rihanna and Kim Kardashian, as well as fashion insiders. Gvasalia breathed a breath of fresh air into the storied Parisian house and we’re excited to see what else he can get up to in the coming year.
