Audi is offering collectors a rare chance to own motorsport history. For the first time, factory prototypes from its legendary Le Mans and DTM racing programs are being sold to a select group of international clients. Under the new “Audi Sport racing legends” initiative, chassis from the brand’s victorious campaigns will be rebuilt to original specifications and delivered in drivable condition.

The program launched in Neuburg an der Donau, where Audi unveiled the first two race cars available for purchase: chassis 107 of the RS 5 DTM and chassis 207 of the Audi R18 e-tron quattro. Both are winning race cars — Timo Scheider drove the RS 5 to victory at Hockenheim in 2015, while the R18, piloted by Romain Dumas, Loïc Duval and Marc Gené, secured a WEC win at Spa in 2012.

Buyers aren’t just getting cars — they’re gaining access to Audi Sport’s storied racing legacy. “Our customers become part of a select circle,” said Rolf Michl, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH. “They benefit from our motorsport expertise and receive comprehensive support.” Each vehicle comes with full technical assistance, spare parts and advice from original developers.

Audi plans to showcase the program at major automotive events this year, including the Jim Clark Revival (Germany), Le Mans Classic (France) and Goodwood Festival of Speed (UK). The first delivery is scheduled for this summer, signaling the start of a new chapter for Audi’s motorsport icons.
