Trip Hop Pioneer Tricky Shares Poignant Visual for "Makes Me Wonder" Feat. Marta
The artist’s first new music since 2017’s ‘Ununiform.’
UK trip hop pioneer and early Massive Attack collaborator Tricky has teamed up with Polish vocalist Marta Zlakowska for an intimate new video for their single “Makes Me Wonder.” Relishing in a mesmerizing arrangement of cinematic shots, the visual sees Marta in the streets of Łódź, whereby the industrial city offers a nearly haunting backdrop captured by director Mateusz Miszczyński.
The single marks Tricky’s first new music since 2017’s album, Ununiform, featured on his False Idol label’s Test of Time compilation. Promoting a folkish vibe, the song portrays an immediate melancholic nature — stark strings and trumpets set a poignant bedrock for Marta’s subdued vocals to carry forth.
