Watch Logic's Moving “1-800-273-8255” Suicide Prevention Video Starring Don Cheadle
A reference to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
Today, Logic shared a new powerful video for “1-800-273-8255,” a track from his Everybody album released earlier this year. Directed by Andy Hines, the moving footage centers around a young gay man and his struggles with his sexuality. The video also stars actor Don Cheadle as the young man’s father, Luis Guzmán as the track coach and Nolan Gould as his lover. Alessia Cara and Khalid are also featured in the vocal category.
The track’s title is a reference to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Watch the seven-minute clip above. “1-800-273-8255” star Don Cheadle previously made an appearance in Kendrick Lamar’s video for DAMN. single “DNA.”
