Matt Reason was a pro skater who ushered in an era of skating that focused on powerful technicalities, drawing attention to Philadelphia in the ’90s. Chances are, if you do wall rides or skate on 60-plus-millimeter wheels, it was likely because of him. After skating for Acme, Adrenalin and Zoo York among others, Reason’s life was tragically cut short in 2014.
