With a release set for this fall, Bungie and Activision took to E3 in Los Angeles to reveal the latest look at the upcoming first-person shooter Destiny. Dubbed “New Beginnings,” the new trailer offers an extended look at Destiny‘s FPS action and the world in which its set – a post-apocolyptic world 700 years in the future and one that follows a prosperous period of exploration, peace and technological advancement known as the “Golden Age.” Players will take on the role of a Guardian of the City – the last defenders of the human race – and wield an unknown power known as “The Light” as they combat hostile alien races encroaching upon the last remaining human colony in space. Bungie’s first project since 2010’s Halo: Reach and complete with the Halo-like multiplayer matchmaking fans known and love, Destiny hits current- and next-gen consoles September 9.
