M.I.A. And Janelle Monáe Will Conduct First Ever Bi-Coastal Hologram Performance

In celebration of the Audi A3 launch, M.I.A. is set to perform live in New York City and Janelle Monáe in Los Angeles, however, in a never-before-seen twist, the two will reveal their unheard collaborations for the first time via a bi-coastal performance and holographic technology. According to the event’s press information, this will be the “first hologram performance with integrated video mapping,” and will use “3D projection mapping to add layered depth of field perception with animated graphic content” to create an illusion as if they are on the same stage at the same time.

Unfortunately for fans of the the two ladies, the show is a private event, but will kick off tomorrow (April 3) so keep an eye out for more news regarding the performance with HYPETRAK.
