This particular portion of the hour-long interview covers Kanye’s personal thoughts on the expansion of his talent and, furthermore, how he seeks to break limitations imposed on ‘hip-hop’ artists today. It makes sense that these would be driving points of an interview in a post-Yeezus era, an album that in many ways shook perceptions of rap music’s potential.
