Jay-Z Co-Produces and Flying Lotus Scores New Film, 'An Oversimplification of Her Beauty'

As if his heavy involvement with Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming film The Great Gatsby wasn’t enough, Jay-Z continues to scratch his Hollywood itch as he’s now set to co-produce a small indie film alongside Wyatt Cenac and Dream Hampton titled An Oversimplification of Her Beauty. The mixed animated/live action film is set to be directed by Terence Nance and ”documents the relationship between Terence and a lovely young woman as it teeters on the divide between platonic and romantic.” The film will also include original new music from Flying Lotus, and is currently set to hit select theaters this weekend.
