Michael Kiwanuka - Lasan (Wood & Wires Session)

Michael Kiwanuka has been everywhere lately. Last month, his critically acclaimed debut album, Home Again, finally hit stores in the U.S. and it seems like his schedule has been non-stop ever since. Over the past week alone, the British singer-songwriter hit up Toronto for a concert, trekked down to New York City to perform on the Late Show with David Letterman, and flew back home to London to hit the stage at BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend. While all of his appearances seem to garner rave reviews and further solidify his talent and authenticity, the piece embedded above is especially compelling. With just his guitar in hand, Kiwanuka sat down on a brown leather couch and gave a moving performance of “Lasan” for Wood & Wires Productions during his stop in Toronto.
