ArtReview has released its annual Power 100, a list of the 100 most influential people in the art world. Heading the list is curator Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev followed by art dealer Larry Gagosian and Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. An oftentimes controversial list, the rankings given are based on “a combination of influence over the production of art internationally, sheer financial clout, and activity in the previous 12 months.” Comprising “artists, as well as collectors, gallerists and curators,” the list aims to provide a comprehensive look at the power players of the contemporary art world. If you’d like to check out the list in its entirety head on over to ArtReview’s site.
