Supreme x Louis Vuitton was fashion’s most talked-about collaboration of 2017 thanks in part to the timely vision of Louis Vuitton’s style director of menswear, Kim Jones. The year also saw another partnership with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design and sportswear giant Nike. The master of menswear has been a pivotal figure in the industry’s luxury meets streetwear movement as evident from his previous time at Umbro, Kanye West’s defunct Pastelle line, Mulberry and Dunhill. Supreme x Louis Vuitton will be hard to top, but Kim Jones’s ever-determined eye should make way for even more fruitful projects in the near future.
